Nature’s Specialties is a candle company specializing in 100% soybean wax candles and other handmade home scenting products! We make and sell scented soy candles and have developed a unique fund raising project far any group or organization. Our fundraisers are highly successful, due in part to the general popularity of candles (for both home use and as gifts), and due in part to the desirability, affordability and top quality of our candles!

 Why are we better than the others?

We only use 100% natural soy wax. Soy wax is made from the oil of soybeans to produce an ALL NATURAL wax, to make a natural candle. Soy wax is safer to burn than paraffin wax because it does not release the harmful carcinogens that paraffin wax does. The candles burn slower and cleaner, and are virtually smoke-free!! Our fragrances stay strong until the end and we have over 80 scents to choose from. An eight ounce jar will burn approximately 50-60 hours, and we only use lead free wicks. We even pour custom layered candles which are great for school and team colors and you can choose the scent! We are a smaller, family owned company. Our main goal is to make a quality product to keep you, our customer, happy & healthy! We pride ourselves on our customer service and are willing to do whatever we can to make this a fun & profitable fundraiser for your group! I am proud to say once you do one fundraiser with us you will have parents, friends, and coworkers asking you when they can get more! We have had such a terrific response from our fundraisers! I have even had fundraiser customers call me and tell me how much they like the product and that they are happy to spend the money when they get quality in return for their support of your group!

 How much money can we raise?

The candles come in an eight ounce jar and your cost is $4.50 ea and they sell for $8.00ea. Your group earns $3.50 for each candle sold. Example, if a group of 25 members sold 20 candles each your group would raise $1750.00!!

We keep our retail prices low because no one likes to spend $12 on a $8 candle! With a lower price for your customer they know they are getting $8 worth of candle, and will gladly purchase more than one!

Your group leader will receive a letter with all contact info and instructions, a master list to submit to us at the end of your sale, and COLOR catalogs. Samples for members are available upon request. The catalogs can even be pre-printed with your organization name and goal for your customers to see exactly what they are helping you to achieve.

 How does the fundraiser work?

We have two programs to choose from:

 Traditional: You pick up to 20 scents to offer and then orders are taken over a specified time period and monies are collected. Your group leader will transfer and total the orders onto the master list. Then they will need to count and confirm that the monies collected match the amount of candles ordered. Payment is due with the candle order. We then process the order, which takes about 2-3 weeks or less, but may take up to 4 weeks for large orders or during the holiday season. We will contact you when your order is complete. When you receive your order it will be pre- sorted and boxed by member’s name for your convenience! All you need to do is check that the each members order is correct. 

 Cash & Carry: An order is placed for x amount of cases of assorted scented candles and every group member takes a case around and does Cash & Carry sales. You decide the scents and the amount to order. We suggest ordering enough so that every member gets a full case to start with. There are 12 candles per case/box. This is the fastest way to earn cash for your group. It also gives the customer instant gratification and generates, on average, a larger sale from each customer. This is also popular for those customers who are skeptical of buying with out seeing that might otherwise order the least expensive item or nothing at all. And with this program they get to sniff before they buy. If you happen to run out of a specific scent you can also take orders as you go.

For your convenience, with either of these programs you have the choice to eliminate any scent(s) on our list.

What other options do I need to consider?

How will you be receiving the candles? We suggest nominating someone in your group to pick up samples (if requested) and the order at the candle shop. If that is not feasible for your group we can ship the candles UPS which is an additional fee. Shipping and Handling fees vary with destinations, but we can adjust your selling cost of the candles to cover the addition of shipping if needed. If you are within 30 miles I will deliver the order to you for FREE!! We can make arrangements to meet at the 30 mile marker for free.

 Payment

For the traditional fundraiser payment is due with the candle order. For the Cash & Carry fundraisers, if your start up funds are not enough we have the option of putting a credit card # & signature on hold until payment is made by the due date (3 weeks). The ONLY way the card is charged is if the balance is not paid by the due date. In that event you would receive a receipt in the mail notifying you of the charge on the credit card.

Prices and products are subject to change without notice. All sales are final. All of our products are handmade and each batch varies in color. White flecks are a signature in our candle and are intentional. Our candles do not contain preservatives or additives and will discolor or fade if left in sunlight. Candles must be kept at room temperature and not left in high heat or extreme cold, due to discoloration, pulling away from the glass, and candle will melt at 120 degrees. These are all exterior blemishes and will not affect the quality of the candle while burning. Exchanges are allowed if the candles being exchanged are inspected and approved by an authorized representative or owner. We guarantee that each candle we make will be scented all the way to the bottom and we will replace the candle at no charge if it is not. Each batch of candles is hand-made. We do not use any machinery to mass produce our candles and every once in a great while we can have a candle with the wrong mix to make it defective or unable to burn. We stand behind our products 100% and if the situation arose we would replace the defective candle at no charge. Any defective candle must be returned to us and verified as defective before the replacement is sent. Sample candles must be returned in original condition or you will be charged for them. Samples may be sold during the fundraiser and will be added to the final total.
